About Taco Ocho
Our first location was opened in 2011 in Richardson, TX. Today we have four locations, including the original location in Richardson. Taco Ocho is independently owned and operated by Mani Bhushan. You might see Mani working in the restaurants, especially at the Flower Mound location which is near his home.
About our menu
Our fresh, made-from-scratch food features bold, authentic flavors inspired by traditional Latin cooking. We use real premium ingredients: fresh produce, all natural cheeses, sustainably-sourced seafood and preservative-free tortillas.
Taco Ocho is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as weekend brunch. We have a full bar of hand-crafted cocktails to complement our menu.
Our guests love our diverse menu and there’s something for everyone. Some of our stand-out menu items include our Latin Love Taco, Fish Taco and Jalapeno Pork Taco. We also offer some innovative vegan choices like the Ranchero Taco and Sweet Potato Quesadilla featuring a black bean spread, sweet potatoes, roasted corn and cilantro topped with a guajillo-tamarind drizzle.
How Taco Ocho got started
It’s a story that started over 40 years ago. Mani, an Indian immigrant, was in Louisiana for grad school, where he met his wife (a Mexican immigrant). Shortly thereafter, they got married not only to his Mexican wife but, into the Mexican culture.
Mani and his wife settled in Texas, and like many immigrants, he started his career in restaurant operations. He worked his way up to senior leadership in the restaurant industry, working for big restaurant chains.
After working in the restaurant industry for over 40 years, he had a dream to open his own restaurant where he could offer delicious fresh, and healthy food options. And Taco Ocho was born.
